The Mobile Unit for Building Safety allows the PRiSMa Lab to operate directly on site.
Thanks to its equipment, the mobile unit can perform different types of investigation on the existing structures, such as:
- experimental investigations on masonry structures
- experimental investigations on wooden structures
- experimental investigations on r.c. structures
- dynamic monitoring
The list of the main tests that the Mobile Unit may actually perform is reported below:
Experimental investigation on masonry structures
- flat jack test
- endoscopy
- sonic tomography
- penetration test for mortar
- visual survey
- sampling of bricks or stones and further mechanical tests performed in the PRiSMa Lab
- special tests to be evaluated on request
Experimental investigation on wooden structures
- visual survey following the Italian standard UNI 11119:2004
- geometric reliefs
- hygrometric test
- penetration test by means of the Resistograph IML RESI-PD 400
- penetration test by means of the wood hammer Woodpecker DRC
- endoscopy inside the masonry supports
Experimental investigation on r.c. structures
- pacometric investigation by means of the Hilti PS 200 S Ferroscan
- concrete core drilling and further mechanical tests performed in the PRiSMa Lab
- carbonation test
- rebound hammer test
- ultrasonic pulse velocity test
- SonReb (Sonic – Rebound) combined method
- Pull-out test with post-installed inserts
- Mapping of potential, resistivity and corrosion risk and estimation of the corrosion rate of concrete reinforcements
Dynamic monitoring
- OMA – Operational Modal Analysis
- vibration test
